💙💛 Vorig jaar brak in Oekraïne de oorlog uit. Er ontstond een donkere tijd met veel verdriet. En toch waren er ook lichtpuntjes. Zoals kunstenaars die met hun tekeningen geld inzamelen voor dieren die door de oorlog zijn getroffen. Ik werd bevriend met de mensen van Draw and Care. Zij maakten deze mooie tekening van Sofie en Janneke. En ze linkten het adoptieverhaal van Janneke aan hun situatie. Er ontstond een ontroerend verhaal van liefde en hoop dat ik hier graag deel. 24 februari 2023: Op deze bijzondere datum willen we het hebben over bijzondere mensen.
Een jaar geleden werd ergens in een schuilkelder een nieuw Oekraïne geboren. Onze verschrikkelijke februari is nu al een jaar aan de gang en er heeft zich midden in Europa een bloederig, tragisch wonder voltrokken. Hoewel er niets moois aan is, zijn er mensen die dicht bij ons staan.
Dit is een oorlog die te veel kostte om te beseffen, maar het bracht ons ook de kans om geweldige harten, vriendelijke, sympathieke en sterke zielen te ontmoeten van mensen die onze echt dierbare vrienden zijn geworden.
Maak kennis met Janneke, de schattigste kookfan, en Sofie de tuxedokat. Janneke's verhaal is ontroerend, en figuurlijk vergelijkbaar met de geschiedenis van ons Oekraïne.
In februari 2018 werd een gewonde witgevlekte kat, ooit Joanna genaamd, gevonden in de straten van Bulgarije. Ze kon nauwelijks ademen. Dankzij de oproep op social media en de eensgezindheid van een groot aantal zorgzame mensen, werd er genoeg geld ingezameld voor een moeilijke, riskante operatie die hielp om een klein maar onbetaalbaar en waardevol leven te redden.
De traumatische ervaring maakte haar wantrouwend en doodsbang voor mensen en dieren. En per toeval vond ze haar gouden thuis in Nederland bij @superjanneke. De liefde waarmee haar nieuwe familie haar omringt, helpt haar om te genezen. Hier kreeg ze ook een nieuwe naam, als symbool van nieuw leven 🌞🌈
Net zoals Janneke haar kans kreeg om opnieuw te beginnen, zo zal ook Oekraïne haar kans krijgen op een nieuwe start dankzij zoveel mensen die zich inzetten en het goede delen van een onschuldige ziel die hulp nodig had. Want eenheid is macht. Onze levens en gedachten zullen nooit meer hetzelfde zijn. Maar we zullen als helderdere, wijzere en gelukkigere mensen uit deze duisternis tevoorschijn komen.
Vandaag is niet alleen de verjaardag van de verschrikkelijke aanval op ons huis, maar ook de verjaardag van buitengewone wereldwijde eenheid in de strijd voor vrijheid. We betuigen onze grenzeloze dankbaarheid aan iedereen die ons helpt. Bedankt dat je achter Oekraïne staat, en staat voor een vrije wereld.

A year ago, a new Ukraine was born somewhere in a bomb shelter. Our terrible February has been going on for a year now, and a bloody, tragic miracle has been happening right in the center of Europe. Although there's nothing beautiful about it, there are people who are close to us.
This is a war that took too much to realize, but it also brought us to meet wonderful hearts, kind, sympathetic, and strong souls of people who became our truly dear friends.
Meet Janneke, the cutest fan of cooking, and Sofie the tuxedo cat. Janneke's story is touching and metaphorically similar to the history of our Ukraine. Back in February 2018, an injured white-spotted kitty, once named Joanna, was found on the streets of Bulgaria and could barely breathe. Thanks to the appeal in social networks and the unity of a great number of caring people, enough funds were raised for a difficult, risky operation that helped save a small but priceless and amazing life.
Subsequently, frightened and distrustful of other people and animals, having had such a traumatic experience, she accidentally finds her warm forever home in the Netherlands with @superjanneke, and the love that her new family envelops her helps her heal. Here, she also gets a new name as a symbol of new life 🌞🌈

Today is not only the anniversary of the terrible attack on our home but also the anniversary of extraordinary global unity in the struggle for freedom. We extend our boundless gratitude to everyone who helps us. Thank you for standing with Ukraine as we stand for a free world.
